Just for everyone's information you need to run TrackIRfixer.exe to get free track working in FC2 just like DCS Black Shark
Follow the instructions for Black Shark and you will be fine. http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1892#11590 |

Hi. I m drying to run freetrack with Flaming Cliffs 2.0. In FC 1.12 freetrack is working perfect. I put TrackIrFixer.exe to folder FC2.0-bin-stable. Normal message, job is done.
All is working fine, just I cant zoom in and out. In the game settings, controls, TIR-settings I can adjust all the axis, even zooming. If I come closer to camera axis responce normal, but in flight, zoom is not working. Sorry for bad english. |

To make the zoom work you have to assign the TRACKIR Z to Zoom View at the axis commands settings.

I cant get trackirfixer to work. I get a "mfc71.dll is missing" error. I put the file in the /bin/x86 /stable directory. I have windows 7 64. does flaming cliffs 2 need to be installed in the default directory? I have the latest patch for fc2 as well.

Can anyone put here (or send me by email: rafalg78@gmail.com) file "newinput.dll" after successful runing trackIRfixer.exe for FC2 1.2.1 and BlackShark 1.0.2?
I hope it will help with problem with "MFC71D.DLL component cannot be found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem". I want to just simple replace "newinput.dll" file. I found the solution. Everyone who has the problem with "MFC71D.DLL" file can download this from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mfc71 then put into C:\Windows\system32 and then run trackIRfixer.exe. Should be OK. In my case it works.

Hi,
I can use my freetrack in FC2. However, it has some strange issues. The sim paused a lot (for 5-10 seconds) when I look to the far right/left, make extreme zoom/unzoom and when I make sudden movement either up down or left to right. Do you guys know how to fix these? Please help. PS. my freetrack works perfectly in FC1.12. |

Hi there!
I have been using freetrack for flight simulators for more then 2 years. Always worked like a charm until now. Recently I got the Flaming Cliffs 2. Had it installed, got the newinput.dll modified by the advised executable. The tracking works, but with a problem! All the 6 dof works, but with z translation (front and aft movement) there is a problem. When moving backwards there is a point, where FC2 freezes out. Tried to wait but no response. When getting out to windows, the freetrack gives the following error message: "Access violation at address 004E21A5 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'.Write address of 00000057." Any suggestion? Tried to google, no solution |

I have the same problem. I eventually stopped using trackir-Z for zoom and assigned the zoom function to a button. In DCS A-10C I do not have this problem. Perhaps turn the z axis sensitivity down?

Yep, getting down the sensitivity is working, but if you just sit back for a long leg, sometimes reaches the limit and freezes out... Really embarassing on an online game, as it results in a crash:(
Maybe is there any possibility to limit the movement end? Would be really good! Thanks for the answer! |

Hi guys, first post here!
I had the same problem with the freezing when we trying to look to six. Just solved now. Go to the Profile Page, Advanced Tab and click on "NO BACKWARDS Z MOVEMENT" U can leave the Z axis on and now we have zoom on FC2 and freezes anymore!!!!! Hope i can help you with this and sorry the bad english! Julio |
