Recall of the news :

FreeTrack is not dead ! ( le o5 26/05/2010 at 11:20 )

FreeTrack developpers are still working on a new FreeTrack version.

But it takes time, and some members of the FreeTrack team don't have lot of time to work on FreeTrack.

However, FreeTrack is not dead !

Many thanks for using and supporting FreeTrack.

Get FaceTracknoIr, realize it does not support single point tracking, bang your head against the wall, go back to good ol' buggy Freetrack.

Try Opentrack, see their Github. It's a continuation of open source head tracking. Which is NOT dead at all.

Chiblue wrote ( on 10/09/2015 at 15:49 ) :
Outstanding product, please continue the new version, I for one are looking forward to seeing it..

I have a feeling Freetrack IS dead...even if you have released something in these lot of years without upgrades, but you continue to search for money,,,,that sound strange to me

FREETRACK IS NOT DEAD!!

*dies*

CommanderCrash wrote ( on 11/20/2013 at 15:31 ) :
Freetrack development seems to be as dead as can be. That's realy a pity. For instance I've built a tracking device myself just to see that Freetrack always starts to lag heavily after a few minutes of usage rendering it totally useless for me. Happily I've looked into it again today an found out, that FaceTrackNoIR supports my homebuilt device without any of the problems of the original Freetrack software. Last not least FaceTrackNoIR is worked on activly. So all of you who have problems with Freetrack: Move on to FaceTrackNoIR (to that I'm not associated with in any way)!

Development looks like it's died out, but as long as the source code is available and GPL'd, the project can be resurrected. It's just waiting for someone else to pick up the reins...

you already gave me the ability to enjoy my games.
Thank you very much and VIVA FRANCE from Greece.

Freetrack is dead! But it was a perfect piece of software. So please release the sourcecode an let it rise again as a phoenix!

Johnny wrote ( on 04/15/2011 at 01:40 ) :
Yeah, not looking good no comments or anything for a long time. I think it may be dead. Will have to hope that FaceTrackNoIR will step up the challenge.

Thanks for your efforts thus far and fighting agaist the overly expensive competition
